Girl Power '08

Girl Power was an interactive day of workshops that addressed the myriad of issues facing young girls and women today. Over 50 girls from the surrounding south suburban area participated in this years event. Several local area business women talked to the young ladies about their non-traditional careers. Local sponsors included Johnny's Wee Nee Wagon, Suburban Bank and Trust, Subway, City Clerk Jennifer Coles, Atty Michelle Broughton-Fountain, Director of Housing and Building Services TyWayne Wilson, Ruff Ryders Raquel Gethers, Alderman Geraldine Dudeck, and Mayor David Webb, Jr.
